RPOWER-module
R-WAVE RPOWER is a compact and easy to install system that can be customized by adding or removing cells. Compatible with other parts of the EV48 ecosystem and designed as a plug-and-play solution, it is ideal for different applications, including full-featured electric vehicles or robots.

MAIN COMPONENTS

LFP Batteries

Lithium ferro-phosphate cells with a long cycle life and low toxicity.

Battery Management System (BMS)

Monitors the battery’s voltage, charging and discharging to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Control unit

Safely connects and disconnects the battery, checks for short circuits and abnormal power usage before fully connecting.

Main circuit breaker

It allows for a manual battery disconnection in case of an emergency.

DC/DC converter

The DC/DC converter provides 12V power lines from the 48V battery, used to power 12V equipment installed on the machine.

Bus bars

Ensure efficient and reliable electrical connectivity between the cells, and also help in distributing the electrical load evenly across all cells, preventing any single cell from being overcharged or discharged.

Supercapacitors

Enhancing the performance of the system by providing quick bursts of energy and improving the longevity of the battery by reducing strain.

Thermal management

Multiple temperature sensors are placed on individual cells as well as in the power commutation module.

Emergency disconnection function

A reliable electromechanical solution for disconnecting the battery from the system in emergency situations. It is suitable for use with emergency stop buttons or safety bumpers/carriers.

BATTERY PACK
The heart of the R-WAVE RPOWER module

Batteries, made of LFP (Lithium ferro-phosphate) are high-capacity, safe, cost-effective, and efficiently managed through an integrated BMS, making them well-suited for the demands of electric agricultural robots, as well as other electric vehicles.
With a CAN interface the status can be controlled and monitored, fuses are installed for secure connection of loads and the system has an over-current protection with a configurable current level.
The battery module includes two additional 12V power supplies:
  • The first one is on standby and active all the time when the power unit is turned on, supporting onboard electronics and other electrical equipment such as pumps, lights, and winches.
  • The second one is available only when the battery is in normal operation mode (emergency stop is not active) to ensure that
    corresponding equipment will be turned off.
The basic configuration provides 43 kWh of energy, and the system can be easily expanded or reduced by adding or removing cells.
